Episcopal Missionary Diocese of Eluru(PRO)

The New Diocese - Episcopal Missionary Diocese of Eluru was promulgated by the unanimous resolution of the Joint Council of the Central Committee and the Trust Board of the India Christian Mission Church on 30 th May 2005 and its constitution was approved by the same Joint Council on
25 th January 2006. The Diocese was ERECTED on 11 th February 2006 by the UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION of the GENERAL BODY during its General Convention-2006.
Then the EPISCOPAL MISSIONARY DIOCECSE OF ELURU
came into being.
The Suffragan Bishop The Rt.Revd.Dr.N.JOHN SD Raju was appointed BISHOP of the DIOCESE on 11 th February 2006 itself.

Bishop John S.D. Raju Nakka, The Pioneer of Missions. Born on June 17th 1959, Completed his Master of Arts (Philosophy), Diploma in Child Education, Bachelor of Education, Master of Theology and awarded with Doctor of Divinity (Honorary Causa)., started his carrier as an Evangelist of a village church in July 1986 and was made Ordained Pastor and was appointed as Area Pastor for Madepalli Parish (a rural Parish with six villages) of the India Christian Mission.

He was blessed with many talents as a recognized Social worker by the District Administration, Eloquent Speaker, Writer, Translator, etc…   He has joined with the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (The Catholicate of the East) and was ordained Priest in Apostolic Succession on May 23rd, 1995 by His Holiness Moran Mor Baselios Mar Thoma Mathews – II at St. Thomas Chapel of the Catholicate Palace, Kottaim, Kerala, South India. He has worked as Missionary Priest, Translated the Liturgy of the Orthodox Church from English to Telugu. He was made Vicar of St. Mary’s Parish and St. Thomas Parish of  Telugu Region and finally made Director of Andhra Mission under the Diocese of Madras.

It is believed that it is plan of God : on request made by the Board of Trustees of India Christian Mission Church (Under the Anglican Tradition), Fr. John S.D. Raju Nakka  has came back to his mother Church and was consecrated Bishop witnessed by thousands of faithful at Eluru and was appointed as Suffragan for the Diocese of Krishna Godavari on February 12, 2005. Now he is the Bishop for the Episcopal Missionary Diocese of Eluru, a new Diocese Promulgated on February 11, 2006 by the India Christian Mission Church.
